Where:         University Lutheran Church

at the corner of 50th Street and 16th Ave NE (Enter through the door from the parking lot north of the Church and go all the way down the hallway; the meeting will be held in the ‘lounge’, which is located just outside the chapel and the nave.)

1. Neighborhood Greenways in the University District

Seattle is upgrading seven miles of community streets into Neighborhood Greenways this year, with the U District under active investigation for 2013. Eli Goldberg and Dave Rodgers from University Greenways will present an introduction to what these Neighborhood Greenways are, and how they can help make our neighborhood even better for people who walk or bike. This grassroots presentation will be a first step towards building a shared U-District perspective on identifying the Neighborhood Greenway routes that best support our community’s needs. (In future months we will have a neighborhood walk-through to identify potential improvements.)

2. Interesting Architecture in and around University Park

Our board member Barbara Quinn will lead a walking tour through our neighborhood this coming spring and will present a preview of the interesting houses that will be featured.

Come early and meet your neighbors!

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
