New RPZ-6 Guidelines

As you may recall, UPCC board members participated in a series of SDOT meetings to review and update the citiywide RPZ program. Effective in January 2010, the new ordinance was effective. In September 2010, for those that have a RPZ-6 sticker, you should have received an annual replacement notice. Besides a change to the annual cost, now any request to renew or initially sign up for a sticker must include a copy of the car registration, if not previously provided, which reflects the name/owner and local address where the applicant lives – in University Park. This will prevent short-term residents from gaining on-street parking without registering their vehicle in their name, vice parents, and to the address where they are living. Also, the new one year stick-on decal will include on it the license plate number of the permitted vehicle.
